about

Edinburgh trio Snide Rhythms release their eponymous debut LP (limited edition vinyl and download) via fledgling label The Bonjour Branch on Monday 12th November 2012.

Produced by the band with Alex Fenton at Swanfield Studios in Edinburgh www.swanfieldstudios.co.uk over the course of the last year, 'Snide Rhythms' features the band’s 2010 double A-Snide single, I Can’t Keep Up/People Pleaser (produced with Gregor ‘Cinema’ Reid at Castle of Doom studios, Glasgow), alongside nine new tracks.

This showcases for the first time Snide Rhythms’ broad spectrum of influences, from legendary labels such as Manchester’s Factory and Edinburgh’s Fast Records to Kingston’s Firehouse.

Snide Rhythms come from the mind-your-language school of thought. They were born at night, but not last night. On their first album but they are taking their first step but already planning their next move. Once described in a lost piece as humble/arrogant, Snide Rhythms want you to believe in yourself.

The art school dance goes on forever but the art school dream is over.

Snide Rhythms are Colvin Cruickshank (vocals/identity theft), Hugo De Verteuil (bass/luxury items) and Luke Cooke-Yarborough (drums/velociraptor). They have previously supported Django Django and Field Music as well as headlining their own shows around Edinburgh.
